Besides painting one of the things homeowners most often change when placing their home on the market is decorative hardware. According to a report from Hickory Hardware, preferences in decorative hardware is shifting. Use this guide when selecting your new hardware.

Rich Finishes. Dark finishes with bronze tones with accents of copper and light bronze. The combination of deep color, contrasting highlights and subtle texture add visual interest.

Golden Opportunity. Rose Gold and Antique Rose Gold finishes create warmth. These gold tones offer a translucence that satin nickel finishes lack.

What’s New is Old. The fusion of traditional finishes on sleek contemporary shapes offers visual contrast that you can’t take your eyes off of. This newest trend is immediately popular within the Transitional design aesthetic.
