Slight chance of rain in forecast today
Southwest Florida won't get a reprieve from the rain or heat today.

There is a 20 percent chance for isolated showers and thunderstorms after 2 p.m. today, the National Weather Service reports.
The temperature high will hover around 91 degrees but the heat index will make it feel more like 100 degrees. The relative humidity will be at 71 percent with winds out of the east at 9 mph. Temperatures should drop to 77 under partly cloudy skies.
The rain and heat is expected to stick around on Monday.
There will be a 10 percent chance for rain Monday with temperature highs around 93 degrees, the weather service said. The heat index will be as high as 102 degrees and the temperature low will be 77.
