All lanes of Collier Boulevard will be opened Thursday afternoon, with fully operational traffic lights, three days before the scheduled completion date.
The city is cautioning residents to be mindful of the new traffic signals, at the intersections with East Elkcam Circle, Bald Eagle Drive and West Elkcam Circle.
Landscaping work will continue into January on either sides of the road and in the median.

I know we all feel like it has been forever that Collier has been torn up, but now that the worst of it is over it is so easy to say it was totally worth it. I work down at the South end of the Island and think every day how nice the roads and landscaping look there. Transition is never easy but the change has really made our Island beautiful.
Happy holidays
