Rental committee meets Thursday
Marco Island’s Short Term Rental Committee meets Thursday night, in its anticipated second-to-last session.
The committee will continue reviewing a draft ordinance over rental properties that limits the number of people staying in a home and requires registration of rental properties.
The session begins at 6 p.m., in the training room of the Marco Island Fire Rescue Department. Members of the public are welcome.
Committee members have set a goal of concluding their deliberations in just two more meetings. The last meeting is scheduled for April 30, same time and same place. Any rules or ordinances approved by the committee must pass through the city’s Planning Board and City Council before being placed in the city’s code of ordinances.

Wonder if they are ever going to consider Reinke's proposed regulation. I sure would like the committee to focus on solving actual problems instead of just generating more regulations. See http://www.cityofmarcoisland.com/Publ...
I've never seen any comment from the committee on his proposal.
