CashVegas, a country rock band from Nashville, Tenn., offers a group of all star musicians. Starting Feb. 16, and just for a few days, they will be delighting the audience at Almost Famous Mel’s in Marco Island.

Headed by Jason Witt, founding member of the group and former member of the legendary Exile, a band that had 11 number one hits.

Witt is the keyboard player and will also be playing bass guitar. Other members of the group include Jeremy Van Hoose on electric guitar and bass, and Dale Krajewski on drums.

Van Hoose has been with Witt for two years. Learning to play by ear, he’s played in “Tootsie’s” in Nashville which is considered the world’s most famous bar. He currently resides in Tampa.

Witt’s background includes playing at the Charlie Daniels Celebrity Golf Tournament three times as well as playing together with Charlie Daniels. Witt has performed several televised shows on Prime Time Country.

Coming from a musical family, Witt’s father played music from the 70s through the 90s; his older brother, who is also a lawyer, has a Blue Grass band; and Witt’s twin brother, Brandon, has played with the Dixie Chicks in 1998 in their Open Wide Tour as well as with Billy Currington, Jason Aldean, Ty Herndon, Trick Pony and others.

Dale Krajewski is the drummer and began his musical career at age 5. Dale is considered a very versatile drummer/percussionist with a unique style. With over 30 years of experience, he has toured with many well known artists. He has been known to add energy and quality to each show. Krajewski is also a known performer on the famous Beale Street in Memphis.

Witt stated in a telephone interview, “What I do is take guys that are seasoned veterans that have been on the road and toured with major artists. I incorporate them into an All Star Band. We all sing and switch instruments. Our music is considered country rock because we’re finding out that there’s a bigger demand for that type of music.”

Witt continued, “I think that’s why we’ve had such good bookings. In fact one of the executive producers from MTV has hired us to play her wedding reception in June.”

He also said the group was very excited about coming to Marco Island to do the show.
