A 19-year-old man was arrested Thursday after Collier County Sheriff's deputies say he stole a 40-inch flat-screen television from Sam’s Club in North Naples and then attempted to get a refund using a receipt from another television he bought minutes before.
Sinan Z. Oztimurlenk, 1667 Barbados Court, Marco Island is charged with grand theft.
Reports state Oztimurlenk and another man went to the Sam’s Club store at 2550 Immokalee Road where they purchased a 40-inch flat screen television and surround-sound system for $1,482.
Reports state the men left the store and came back, going to the electronics section, where they placed an identical television on a cart and left the store, using the receipt from their previous purchase.
They returned to the store and went to the customer service counter, where they tried to get a refund.
Reports do not state if the other man was accused of any crime.
