MICA: Residents Beach singer Jim Greeley is back

Monday, April 28, 2008
It was about 6:30 p.m., more than an hour before sunset. I was out running errands. “Should I head home to throw a load of laundry in the washer or should I throw caution to the wind and head to Residents’ Beach an hour early? Oh, what the heck, live a little,” I said to myself, so I drove toward the beach! Full story »

The Farmer File: If Naples bans beach smoking, look to Marco

Thursday, March 6, 2008

Fifty feet to your left are three teenagers, playing a boombox at top volume --- Notorious B.I.G., Boogie Woogie or Beethoven -- it doesn’t matter. Who is more likely to sabotage your beach day, the smokers or the boomboxers? It’s a fair question, as Naples City Council moves toward banning smoking on the beach. Full story »
