Each Saturday morning, at Winterberry Park, kids play T-Ball as part of the Marco Island Baseball League. Unlike teams in other divisions, they do not keep score, they are busy learning the game. That means they don’t have the opportunity to see their names, or even photos in the paper every week. This weekly feature gives a chance to give them some recognition. Full story »

A four-run second inning got the Indians rolling to a win. The Indians Paul Servante knocked in the first run in the opening inning then four more runs were scored by Stephen Neptune, Raul Rodriguez, Liam Hollowsky and Andrew Smith in the second. The Gulf Coast Little League Tigers, made up of Marco Island players, had a great run in the Golden Gate Invitational over the weekend. The team lost in the semifinals, 8-6, while winning three games. Full story »

The track team qualified members for the Collier County Middle School Track and Field Championships, while the boys baseball team edged closer to being the top seed in the upcoming Southwest Florida Middle School Baseball Conference playoffs.
