For his efforts, he will receive a pair of tickets to the Naples Players production of “The Secret Garden,” valued at $60. The goal of this year’s Relay for Life of Naples was to raise $720,000, but the focus during the 18-hour event wasn’t just on fundraising, it also was on remembering and celebrating those affected by cancer.

Maybe you still use it now and then. Or perhaps it’s gathering dust on some shelf in the garage or waiting in a box, ready for your next yard sale. Your Polaroid. Brownies and Instamatics were fine, but no other camera gave the shooter the immediacy, the intimacy and the elation of reproducing life in their hand.

Dr Jim Gasparino, PME Principal & Dr DennisThompson, Superintendent of Collier Schools, presented Mrs Sharon Camp, 5th Grade teacher at Pelican Marsh Elementary with the honor of being one of the states 67 finalists for the Florida Teacher of the Year award. Sharon has been teaching for 35 years and says that "Every morning I get up and do this for them".
