Hey Van, why does the new chief not live on the island? What is the turn over rate of the police dept. Sure the crime rate when down, no construction. How many officer resigned? Why not do some homework than sit with the foundation members at silly dog and pony lunches.

Same old, same old! During this mans leadership lets see what happened. A totally messed up fatal pedestrian investigation, a woman found floating in the bay with the PD complaining to the press, and an officer hitting handcuffed prisoner. Just wait for that civil suit. Officers in his own department openly complaining about his lack of leadership. Yep good pick.

Maybe someone in the council took a drive around the island and saw some of the fore-closed houses. You can not miss them by the overgrown landscaping.

Well the fix is in and the police foundation has spoken. The same old story, with the best police dept. that money can buy. A pedestrian is killed with no case. A woman is found dead in the bay, but the police Lt. is complaining to the press about being asked the status of the case. If someone is breaking into your home better call the fire dept. At least you might get a competent response.

This is unbelievable. The chief just gave any attorney more than enough evidence to sue the pants off the city. Read what he said. The depts personel made 3 MAJOR errors. Whether the officer screwed up or not is on the back burner. The PD admits they screwed up big time. Attorney fees alone to defend this will be big. I bet we will not here about this settlement.
