...just to set the record straight I agree with you jaguar and marco47...I own and do not rent...when I'm in my house relaxing I do not want to be disturded...there is a rental right next to me and for the most part the renters have been problem free, there have been cases where the house was full of rowdies (I wasn't in Marco) and my fulltime neighbor told me he called a complaint in to the police.

what I'm saying is this has to monitored and controlled, whether it's the agencies, renters, owners or all three who are held accountable...something should be in place (ordinance)to maintain a respectable quality of life atmosphere for those who have also invested for the long term.

...two nights??? what took you so long, lol.

I have the police on speed dial, I won't put up with it for two minutes.

Besides, we can go to collierappraiser.com, look up the owner of the property and contact them directly. I've done it before and I'll do it again.

Not for nothing, but all you people keep talking about the tourists dollars. Who gets the money? I'll tell you who, the homeowner is collecting the rent, the realtor is getting a commission, Publix sells more groceries, the renters sit on the beach, maybe go out to dinner and buy tee shirts.

It's the out-of-state homeowners (who do not rent) that pay for lawn and pool service, contractors to maintain their homes, home watch services, window cleaners, nurseries et al, who contribute to your economy...all you local yokels keep that in mind.

the needs of the many far outweigh the wants of the few...short term rentals have to be restricted and controlled, this is a quality of life issue. The sooner an ordinance is in place the better for us homeowners.

Excellent...and who said this wouldn't happen?

Something will be put in place, if not what is entirely outlined in the article...something is better than nothing at all.

On the contray, don't be so sure of yourself, this isn't a few people but many who are concerned about property values and quality of life.

This is a very large fly that requires a HUGE sledgehammer.

Excellent job by the Police!

Keep in mind...if it walks like a duck and quacks like a duck, then it must be a duck.
