Dinghydo2, I certainly agree regarding my "30-50 boat" anchoring comment. I apologize.

How 'bout 30-50 quite, courteous, environmentally friendly boaters anchor just off Orange Court Thanksgiving weekend?

The issue is not about "300 feet". The ordinance is illegal and was proposed and passed by people who I assume know little about boating and less about cruising/anchoring boaters. I cruised sailboats on the Great Lakes for mare than 20 years. I can assure you that most anchoring boaters are exceptionally considerate and environmentally conscientious. There are many causes of polution. I can also assure you that anchoring boaters pose no threat to your Marco waters.

Well said, Mr. Diebler! The Administration should be highly embarrased regarding the national attention this illegal ordinance has received.

The "monthly social get together" has taken place the past FIVE Thursdays. Remember when there was to be no outside bar, then no music, then no "amplified" music at the Star Bar? Looks like special permits don't need to be for special events.

On Thursday throngs

Remember when the city said "no outside bar" would be allowed at the Esplanade. After the bar was approved, "no amplified music" would be allowed. Apparently the city has not required adequate parking spaces. The "throngs" are overflowing onto residential landscaping and sprinkler heads. What's next?
