That's funny happyonmarco! A spray tan appointment...lol. He is pretty dark but that sounds like an ethnic slur? Seriously though, for $6,000 a year can you blame him? I was at that all day budget meeting, were you happyonmarco? At that meeting Popoff made it very clear that he would not attend back to back meetings and council unamimously agreed with him. Unlike most of the other councilors Rob has a job and a young family to support. We need more commonsense councilors who actually have a life outside of city politics to balance out all of the people like you with too much time on their hands.

OldMarcoMan, show up, meet Mack and share with him your concerns. I'm sure he is well-aware of the Marco bridge issue and will address that. Councilor Popoff should be commended for getting this calibre of political clout to our island. We can scream and holler all we want but decisions like the bridge are made at the highest levels not in local town hall meetings which are essentially just gripe sessions for the vocal minority.
If you want to get results then go to the top. At least one councilor understands that!

Ray, I have just had it with you! You are like a worn-out old sock that gets stuck behind the dryer. Why don't you just fade away like other crusty old has been dentists. The fact that your nieghbor painted his house with polka dots and won't repaint it until you die is a true testament to your standing in this community. You still might have a year or two left, it might not be too late to move to Sun City where you always belonged. Somehow you made a wrong turn and ended up on our beautiful resdiential tourist desitination.
You may be happy to know that you are the talk of the town...no one has ever read anything positive from you or about you! When you were younger did you think you woud grow old and ornery? Did you think you would be that wrinkled up old angry guy that hates everyone and everything Paret, you are the guy that people in this community laugh at. You are discounted as an old senile guy that would never write such things if he were sane.
Enjoy the time you have left with your wife and your life and go away.

Good deal for Mr. Ashcraft, bad deal for the city. Can't begrudge Ashcraft but I am very disppointed in our city council. Whether Joel needs the property or not the taxpayers paid too much for a piece of land next to a watse water treatment plant! I've heard that Ashcraft has been trying to sell this property for years

Avenger, I am sure about two things:
1. Popoff doesn't like Tucker (Tucker bad mouthed him on a business deal)
2. Whoever you are I am sure you don't have the guts to talk trash to Rob's face.
Finally, six councilors voted to hear his plan. They put their emotions aside and voted to see if Tuckers firm can save the city some It. If it violates the charter, end of story. Too bad for Tucker.

You have to admit that "crusty old contipated naysayers is pretty funny." Thanks to Leroy we can find some humor in the blogs. Although Leroy sounds pretty harsh I wouldn't take it seriously.
Like many of the bloggers, I have grown too old and too tired of misinformaton on Marco Island from all the same names. The facts are the facts, I just wish people would accept them!
The majority on Marco has had to deal with so much negativity over the last several years I guess it has become contagious. The good news is the majority voted in a positive, pro-city council and they are doing a great job!

Wayne, give the CAP a rest already. Stop the nonsense about the CAP. We the citizens, your constituents voted three times to keep the CAP in place...its a dead issue. What in the heck are you trying to prove?
